As a new blog with the mission of helping art organizations tackle the forest of social media, there are a few places that I look to for inspiration myself. One of these places is the Art Biz Blog – for the business of being an artist. As a photographer myself and as a newcomer to the business side of the arts, this blog covers all kinds of information and angles on marketing yourself as an artist. There is also a lot of information on social media and as such I have my work cut out for me.

One of my favorite post of Art Biz Blog is “15 Minutes a day for social networking”. I think we all know how easy it is to get sucked into the world of social networking and then wake us hours later realizing that not only have we wasted time, but that we haven’t achieved anything either. This is one of the reasons so many art organizations can’t get their info onto social media…there just isn’t enough time in the day!
